Weird noise from front part of Acura RSX?

It sounds like scraping or rattling from the front end of my 05 Acura RSX. When I hit the brakes or am stopped, it does not make the sound. Acura says it is because my brake pads are out and will cost 200 to fix, does this sound about right? Thanks!Weird noise from front part of Acura RSX?
it's the sensors on the brake pads. and no it does not cost $200 for replacement and repair. maybe $70 at most if you do it yourself.



you just take the wheels off when its jacked up and sitting on stands. just reach behind the calipers and feel for the 17mm bolt on the back bottom side of the caliper. take it off. the 17mm bolt on top, you just loosen it and the caliper should swivel upwards for quick removal of the pads. pop the hood and open the brake fluid reservoir. take a C-clamp and press the caliper's piston back in with a piece of of the old pad, insert new pads and bolt everything back up to the correct torque and make sure to close the brake fluid reservoir lid. it should be good and if there is a in balance in braking then you will have to bleed the brakes. takes about 30 minutes to do if you have the right tools.

most likely the pads. hopefully its not metal to metal or you will be replacing the rotors too. Its just normal maintenence yougot to have done. Just have them take the wheels off and check the pads outWeird noise from front part of Acura RSX?
