The engine is pure Honda. Find out when the timing belt was last done. The manual calls for every 60,000 miles, but at that age 55,000 is a better bet. Yes, it's got "curve appeal" lol, and by the way, it has a timing chain, not a belt, so it just needs to be tensioned if anything, but mine's going on 126k miles and still hasn't had to be adjusted at all.
