If someone wore Pacsun clothing..?
I like some of Pacsun's clothing, however I've noticed that most of what I like is skater clothing or racing clothing (Fox, Alpinestars) and I don't skate or race bikes..
So should I not buy them? Would it make me a poser? If someone wore Pacsun clothing..?
All my clothes are from there.
And you should deff buy them, because if you like it, It does not matter if you don't skate or do anything else. It would not make you a poser.
You are a poser if you say you skate and you DON'T.
So don't you care about that and buy it if you really like it..
Well at least that is my opinion.........
No, I see "skaters" all the time wearing their clothes. Zumiez.. Journeys.. Pacsun. They all kind of go together. And plus, most of the brands they sell at Pacsun, they sell at Zumiez. Most people could't tell you got the clothes from there right off the bat.
Go for it(: Their stuff is amazing. If someone wore Pacsun clothing..?
some would say yes it makes you a poser..but honestly, who cares? its your style, its your fashion, they're your clothes...if you can wear them and feel comfortable..wear them! forget what anybody else thinks. But if you're going to be self conscious everytime you wear them, and worry about looking like a poser ...then dont waste your money ... i'd say who cares. ...go for it...
Nahh I'm not a skater or a racer, and neither are a lot of the people who wear Pac Sun. ANYONE can wear it, and no, it will not make you a poser AT ALL. They have uberrr cute clothes for everyone! :)If someone wore Pacsun clothing..?
No way, i dont skate or anything but i wear there clothes, your only a poser if u claim ur a skater when ur really not, as long as you dont do that its fine, wear what you like
You should get any kind of clothes you like. If you were a poser, you would be trying to say that you are a skater or racer when you aren't. So you aren't a poser :]
just wear whatever you like. you don't have to skate to wear clothes from there. i do, %26amp; i don't skate or race bikes.
Go ahead, every person in my school wears pacsun clothing and only about a third of them skate. If you like it, wear it.
No way. That's my favorite store and I neither race nor skate. It doesn't matter. It's like all the people who shop at hollister and dont surf.
Clothes dont make the person.
Even though thats what the kids at your school may think..
they are are just trying to fit in, becuase nobody wants to be different.
no it doesn't make you a poser it just shows that you have good taste in clothes. buy them if you like them.
You should buy whatever you want.
who and cares. just wear what you want.
if you like what you wear then it means your not a poser just as long as you feel good in what your wearing thats all that counts!
Umm no! wear them! it won't make you a poser, there just brand names that 'skaters' are known to wear.
No.
depends on if ur a computer nerd or a jock
just wear what you want.
it doesnt matter what people say.
So dont worry, if you like the clothes buy them

I'm a girl, never owned ones, what are the best ones?, I heard alpinestars are really good, but I see them like kinda heavy, so you people with experience please help me! :)Best motocross boots?
Alpine star tech 10'sBest motocross boots?
since im cheap ive only ever owned thor and shift boots, but i tried a friends astar tech 3s and they were amazing. if you think alpinestars are heavy try some cheapo shift combats. dont get me wrong, the shift combats i currently own arent bad at all, i loved the price of them. the tech 3s are about twice the price of the combats, but if i had the money i would def. take the astars.Best motocross boots?
They're all pretty heavy, there's pretty much no getting around that. I've always been partial to the Alpinestar Tech 8's, but I've had a pair of Thor boots before too, and they aren't too bad for the money.
i own tcx pro2 boots.
they are suspension for the feet.
they were rated best boot for 2009.

you need something that stands out from the rest.
dont settle with something simple.
you need to think out the box.
like what do you want your tee's to represent think about those things and look up words that have that meaning and you will find one that just pops out like (damn that's it!!! ha)I need a name for my clothing brand?
you should name it Tree tee's or Torganic's. Tees+organic=Torganic's or Once open a tree or fashion to the fast laneI need a name for my clothing brand?

Dirt bike neck protection help!!!?
Well im new to motocross and i need help deciding which neck support to get.
I was either think of getting the Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support or the Leatt Adventure 2 Brace. Lot of people say the Bionic is Great others not so great. So based on you more experienced riders, whats the best bet?
ThanksDirt bike neck protection help!!!?
I'm 13 and have been racing since I was 4 so that gives me enough experience to tell you that it is completely personal choice. Go to your local shop and try them on. Personally, I don't where one. It bugs me. I've wrecks on an 140ft triple and I never died. Just try them on and see what is more comfortable.Dirt bike neck protection help!!!?
Brett gave you excellent advice. I think I've seen you at the races before Brett. I'm in VA. Your name sounds very familiar. May have even seen you at Loretta's.

Will gloves stretch ?
I was looking at a pair of gloves size medium, in the store they fit a tad tight but not enough to size up, will they stretch out or should I look into another pair ? they are the alpinestars gp plus. Will gloves stretch ?
If they're leather (which those gloves are), then yes, they will stretch over the first week or so of riding (and will also become a bit softer and more comfortable.
You want to err on the side of being a little snug, but not way too tight/short.
By the sounds of it, the medium gloves you are looking at should be a good choice for you. Will gloves stretch ?
It has been my experience gloves will not stretch, especially in length. The best gloves are ones that fit like, well, a glove.
Sorry for the slight pun.
I would suggest keep looking and trying on.
Good LuckWill gloves stretch ?
No they won't stretch. Choose a different glove that fits well. You could get the bigger size and use a liner - good in winter for extra warmth but its a bit of a nuisance most of the time.
if there leather then yes they do stretch over 5 pairs i have now are to big

Witch Motorcycle jacket do you like better
I want it in blue
1. Leather
http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/barga…
2. Textile (kinda a mesh type material with pads in it)
http://www.newenough.com/protective_appa…I need help deciding.. Opinion?
Leather, textiles do not protect nearly as much as full leather.
If you're getting a jacket because it 'looks good' please sell your bike, you're half the reason cagers hate motorcyclists.
dude dont get it in blue thats cheesy to match with your bike and your going to look like a power ranger. besides that the second jacket is better in that same colorI need help deciding.. Opinion?
leather.

Wear 1. if it saves your skin from tearing away from your body if you hit the floor . Seriously a lot of people I know wish they had worn leathers so unless this new material is stronger stick to safety first.

I've been condsidering on buying fox creek leather but it's very expensive.
I'll be on a Ninja 250R in the summer heat. Maybe a white leather?Would this be a great beginner jacket? Check out picture.?
That jacket is ugly. You may want to consider a textile jacket with back, shoulder, and elbow guards. Joe Rocket makes great jackets.
http://joerocket.com/catalog/index.cfm/1鈥?/a>
Alpine Star is excellent gear, always. However, for summer time the jacket you're looking at is not vented well, and you'll feel and look like a stylish cooked ham. Try spending less on the jacket by getting textile, and remember that the lower half of your body needs protection too. Most off-the-rack jackets come with soft padding in the shoulders, elbows, and back, minimally; some add to the sides. You should consider enhancing all that with hard plastic inserts. Your riding pants then should have exaggerated hip and knee protection, and they should zip to the jacket so the jacket does not ride up during a slide and expose your spine to whatever ugly surprises your get off has in store for you.
Just now an outfit in Texas I have used off and on for years, New Enough, is having quite a blow out sale on Joe Rocket gear, both leather and textile. Go to their site and have a quick looksee, and book marke them because they have attractive sales often.
http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/all_t鈥?/a>
Good luck, and ride safe.Would this be a great beginner jacket? Check out picture.?
actually no, WHat you need is a full armored including spine and neck, shoulders, elbow's text tile jacket. Leather will protect your skin better but on a sports bike, its more times crashing then sliding. You have to protect your self from breaking back or neck. Shoulder, elbows etc are for minor breaks and road sliding.
I have 3 friends and 1 employee who are all crippled because they didn't wear right stuff, I have another employee who does wear the right stuff and has had some broken wrist, broken arms but nothing serious because he wears the right stuff. If you want to be cheap, step out back and ask some-one to hit you as hard as they can with a baseball bat. Think im kidding ? it wont be anything compared to flipin or crashing off you bike.
It is not only a great beginner jacket it is a great jacket period...Anytime you buy an Alpinestars clothing you will be getting top quality and you will be satisfied with it....No need to wonder whether or not it will be good...It is a high value product...Enjoy itWould this be a great beginner jacket? Check out picture.?
Good stuff, not my style though. HiPoint (Alpinestars) has a well-deserved reputation for quality and durability.

Motorcycle Jacket Question?
I need a cheap, protective motorcycle jaket.. im looking for 1s that arnt leather but they have protective pads in them (metal plates in the elbows and shoulders) im not sure what there called.. or if you can find an alpinestars leather jacket in the $150- $200 range.. thxMotorcycle Jacket Question?
heres an alpinestars mesh jacket.. its breathable and only $188.95
http://www.sporttour.com/motorcycle-apparel/alpinestars_t-stunt_air_flo_jacket.htm
Have you checked the scorpion models? I found this brand very good at it. I have a polycarbonate mesh jacket which is very comfortable at high temperatures. This jacket has protectives pads in the elbow, shoulders and for your spine.
In regards to the price. I was able to get it at the dealer for 120 dollars.
Hope it helps.
-ArepaKingMotorcycle Jacket Question?
Instead of a heavy riding jacket, get a combo for the hot days. I would recommend a Joe Rocket jacket and a Field Armor vest.
Some days will be to hot to wear a jacket so I like wearing a protective vest to cover my spine and chest. Wearing both really helps on colder days! Get the support now and the jacket when you can afford it.
I have bought from Newenough before and they also sell on eBay. Sometimes you will find the same item at your local motorcycle shop... try it on there to verify the size that you need.
I've bought the Cortech which was inexpensive and fit good and I also bought the Joe Rocket Ballistic which i didn't care for... the back of the neck rides too high and touches my full-face helmet making it a bit more difficult to turn my head. Can't get use to that and will give that one away one of these days.
Here is the listing of what Newenough has up on eBay at the moment and also their own website.Motorcycle Jacket Question?
Go to NewEnough.com and look through the closeouts. You may see alpinestars there or maybe better. The armor is not steel, however, but is the usual sort that motorcyclists buy. You may want to upgrade your armor, pay attention to their fitting suggestions and suggested armor upgrades, not ALL armor will fit into the jackets, especially the spine protector.
Joe Rocket makes some good textile jackets that you could find in that price range. check at bikebandit.com or cyclegear.com
Look for ixon jackets, crashed in one last year,They work!

Leatt vs other neckbraces?
im wondering if the leatt allows more head movement and comforbility then the evs evo and the alpinestars. im looking for the the most protective and least restrictive brace. i already know costs so that doesnt matter.Leatt vs other neckbraces?
I have always been someone who has said that the leatt brace was great and to a certain extent it does the job, but having a pro rider son who mixes on a daily basis with other top riders I know most of them have turned away from either neck braces as a whole or if they do wear them they are not wearing the leatt. I still think the braces are a good idea but the Leatt was the for runner for the neck brace, but there has been too many instances and in our case they tend to be well known riders who are friends that have had very nasty impacts due to the high level they ride at, which have either lost the use of their legs or will never ride again due to the nature of their injuries. Unfortunately the Leatt could and I do say could, have had something to do with this. It may well have saved their lives but it tends to be designed with the impact focusing on just a couple of points of the body and the C7 seems to cop it. I know a number of the riders now are using the Omega Neck Brace as the design distributes the force over a larger area and does not focus it on just these couple of spots.
I also would not worry too much about feeling restricted with a neck brace as they are like a helmet, once you start using one, you feel wrong without it on.Leatt vs other neckbraces?
I have a leatt and it's my favorite. I felt that the evs was too bulky and I have never tried the alpinestars. I can say that most racers prefer the leatt and I almost never see anyone with anything other than that. It would be a good choice.bikebandit ruby tuesday menu

Motorcycle racing suit?
I'm looking for a motorcycle racing suit for my husband's birthday and i've looked on ebay for a good price but I need to know what brands I should buy. I know alpinestars is a great brand but it's also pricey. what brands should i consider and do you know any stores or online stores i can get the racing suits from? my budget is between $100-500. thank you.Motorcycle racing suit?
Your paying for protection. How much is your health worth.
You would be better just putting the money towards a decent suit and maybe add another zero to your budget figures.
Would you buy a cheap second hand crash helmet to go racing in.
Very few - if any. (Racers) dont crash.
the trick is to be able to walk away. Better still get back up and back into the race.
But your always happy to just walk away.
Edit. here is a good cheap suit

decent suit in the UK is going to set you back 拢1500 thats sterling not dollars.Motorcycle racing suit?
what kind of motorcycle does he ride? if he rides dirt bikes or atv's you could go to
motorcycle-superstore.com or rockymountainatvmc.com. the both sell the racing stuff.Motorcycle racing suit?
See the link below for the suits offered by New Enough.com
As you will see, all are outside of your budget.
Wish to clarify, to me a racing suit is a one piece leather road racing suit that is padded and armored.
If so, you will be hard pressed to find a suit that meets your budget constraints.
Good Luck and what a great birthday present!!

Motorcycle Boot Size?
I'm planning on ordering motorcycle boots online and I want to make sure they fit.
So my question is are they sized the same way as normal shoes/boots or should I get like a size bigger or smaller than I normally would. Also I'm getting the 3/4 length style (I don't know if that matters or not).
The boots: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1鈥?/a>Motorcycle Boot Size?
Boots, like helmets, must fit perfect to be completely acceptable. Which means, like helmets, you need to go to a brick and mortar and try on various boots or helmets until you find the ones that fit.
The odds of getting a good fit from an unknown brand mail order is between Slim and None. And Slim just left town.Motorcycle Boot Size?
One important thing I found out while buying so many pairs of boots -
Different makers use different lasts.
This means the shape and size are different between brands.
I have gone from a 9 1/2 to an 11EEE just by changing brand of boot.

CSI (Vegas) Trailer/Promo Ad music (Channel Five, UK)?
Since just before Feb channel Five have been airing a trailer/promo and I want to find the music.
It's the ad with the voice over saying something about "nothing new shocking".
It's definitely not Burning Up by Alpinestars but the other possible answer I could find doesn't sound right either.
(I can't check, my recorder won't rewind and I keep forgetting what the song sounds like!)
Any suggestions? - ThanksCSI (Vegas) Trailer/Promo Ad music (Channel Five, UK)?
haven't heard this but 'nothing shockin'' is alice in chains...

One piece leathers sizing?
I've been looking around at different manufacturers sizing for one piece leathers. I'm 6'0" weigh 155. any tall suits i've seen are for big guys. and smaller suits are for short guys. what company makes a tall skinny suit? my pants are about a 31 waist 32 inseam. dont know my jacket size. and i've seen some companies out there that offer 500 dollar suits tailor made. they're not alpinestars or dainese or anything but are the suits still any decent? One piece leathers sizing?

How to make my race suit smaller?!?
i have a race suit for karting, an Alpinestars KMX-9 to be precise, and it is a bit too big for me, ive got badges on it so returning would not really work, and i am 16 so i still have a bit to grow. im just wondering if there is any way to make the arms and legs shorter! thanks for any help :)How to make my race suit smaller?!?
DON'T ALTER IT!
Any alteration would void its FIA rating and make it illegal! DON'T ALTER IT!
Why did you buy a suit that was too big for you anyway? Just tuck it up a bit. Better to have a racesuit that's slightly too big than one that's too small. How to make my race suit smaller?!?

Take it to a taylor. It will cost you to get it fixed but it will get done rite.

Good choice.
if you dont have much experience riding you should go for the Ninja250 to start with just to get a feel for it. sport bike+squid=flesh crayon. the course will teach you stuff you will use everyday and will save your life. As far as the best bike out there i own both a 2005 CBR1000 and a turbo 05 YZF-R1 and i love the R1 it is an amazing bike. the Busa is made for drag racing and other than the ninja 250 stay away from kawi and suzi they both offer alot but they dont compare to the new honda and yamaha series. As far as gear, full leathers or kevlar/nomex with armor plates is the best you can do if you go down. boots and gloves too as long as they are good leather. Get a good Snell or DOT certified helmet and you will be set. happy riding and remember burn rubber not your soulWhat is the BEST street bike %26amp;%26amp; gear?!?
Haha, do not start out on a hayabusa. Start with something light and small. I'm 6'3'' and 198 lbs. and have started with a 250cc bike. Gain some skills for about a year before you tackle on the really powerful bikes (educated opinion). More powerful, bigger bikes aren't as forgiving. The power and weight really takes some time to get used to if you're a beginner. Anyway, go with a ninja 250r, a rebel, a Hyosung gt250r, or something like those that I just mentioned. Now, your gear is just as important. The first poster mentioned a DOT and Snell approved helmet. That's a good start. I always ride with a jacket (leather with CE approved armor), pants (CE approved armor in the hips and knees), gloves, and boots. The jacket should be comfortable, well ventilated, and filled with armor in the elbows, shoulders, and sometimes the back (you can get a back protector if your jacket doesn't come with it). Leather is usually the best, but a lot of textile jackets use cordura and other materials that have good abrasion resistance as well. Alpinestars manufactures amazing products, but they're not inexpensive. I personally like Teknic, Alpinestars, Tourmaster/Cortech, AGV, Spidi, Dainese, and some Joe Rocket products. Icon also produces some good products that offer style and protection. Here are some good websites to search for products.
www.kneedraggers.com
www.helmetharbor.com
www.ridegear.com
www.motosport.com
www.motorcycle-superstore.com
Those are some good websites with decent prices. I suggest that you do a lot of research before purchasing a bike. Not all riders are created equal. If it takes you a year to learn on a small bike, then that's really nothing compared with how many years you'll spend riding (if you continue to do so).
Get a Ninja 250 to start...get good then upgrade to a ZX6R. After about 6 months to a year you will be ready for something bigger and the ZX6R is a good bike. As far a gear goes try Joe Rocket or Alpinestars they are both high quality and affordable.
Please for the sake of yourself and everyone else on the streets.....do not get a liter bike for your first! You are doing the right thing by taking formal training and they will teach you things that you will use on a daily basis.
Good luck! What is the BEST street bike %26amp;%26amp; gear?!?

I don't care which one looks better... The object of motorcycle boots is to protect your ankles and feet. If they don't do that, then you're wasting your money.Which of these motocross boots look better?

I believe that neighter offer the protection that a Motorcross boot offers. They look OK for the street but I would not wear them in the dirt.
Good LuckWhich of these motocross boots look better?
I like the second one more.
Its more stylish, and can be matched with eveything.
I find that motocross boots fit weird. Try on some and go with the best fit and don't worry aobut looks.
Go for The Alpinestars Tech 2
Those are real nice! :)
I strongly second JetDoc's comments. The boots are for protection, not for fashion. You do not receive style points when you ride.
ignore ninebad saying go with the best fit, that much is obvious but you really need to go with the most protection, i highly rate alpinestars and would go for them if it was me

Which do you think is better?
Should I buy Alpinestars Tech 10's or the new Oxtars?Which do you think is better?
My son had a set of the Oxtar boots a couple of years ago and if he had the choice between the two he would go for the Tech 10's. He wears tech 10's now and they are a very comfortable boot. If you wear the sole out you can also get it replaced with makes the life of the boot a bit longer. We just got a pair resoled as with all the riding my son does he wore through them in under 6 months, but he has a hell of a lot of seat time.
which ever ones are the most comfortable, and any other requirements you may have ie , waterproof, foot, ankle, shin protection... I assume we are talking boots here? whichever ones fit within your budget as price can be an issue close to many poor motorcyclists heartsWhich do you think is better?
I would have to say the tech 10s because I know they are a good boot...We don't know anything about the oxtars...
dude Alpinestars,
they put the most time and research into giving you the best possible protection. even if the tech 10s were not the coolest looking boot out there, the tech 10s provide they most protection of ANY boot. besides they look bitchen with any gear.Which do you think is better?
I would go with Wal-Mart flip flops.
AlpineStars, my boyfriend has them and so do I. They take a bit to be comfortable, but hey your safe from broken ankles eh? lol.
good luck choosing..cb radio little ceasers

Can I wear these boots for everyday riding?
http://www.ghostbikes.com/products/On-Ro鈥?/a>
I know Alpine do racing boots and have been told that you shouldn't wear motocross boots when normally riding as they're harder to wear. Can anyone advise me if these are the best to get, if not, which would be? I have a budget of 拢170Can I wear these boots for everyday riding?
Those are nice all-round boots. Fine for daily riding, and even for the occasional day at the track. Plenty of protection for street riding. When you try them on, you'll have to judge for yourself how comfortable they are for walking. Just bear in mind that they are not made for walking, and the soles of riding boots will wear out fairly quickly if you walk on pavement a lot.
I would buy locally--you will get the right fit, which is important: They're not cheap, and they are safety equipment. Two reasons to make the right purchase. Stores usually carry more than one brand, and if these don't happen to suit your feet, they will have alternatives. e-Bay can't equal that, and I like to support my local businesses, or they won't be around when I need them.
yeah, they are great boots (very safe), though if you need to walk to places in them forget it (they're not made for walking more than a few steps), unless you're carrying a pair of sneakers with you and you can switch them for the boots at your destinations. You'd have to have a place to leave the boots while you go about your business ;)Can I wear these boots for everyday riding?
Great boots. I actually bookmarked that page.

They're fine but you could get cheaper off Ebay, that's where I got my equipment apart from Helmet.d3100 walkie talkie

yeah, they are great boots (very safe), though if you need to walk to places in them forget it (they're not made for walking more than a few steps), unless you're carrying a pair of sneakers with you and you can switch them for the boots at your destinations. You'd have to have a place to leave the boots while you go about your business ;)Can I wear these boots for everyday riding?
Great boots. I actually bookmarked that page.
Nice boots. They would work fine for everyday riding. Can I wear these boots for everyday riding?
They're fine but you could get cheaper off Ebay, that's where I got my equipment apart from Helmet.
Looking for the best motocross boot?
I have a current pair of Alpinestars tech 8 boots that are too big. I am willing to spend the money now so that's no issue. I want to know what the safest boot is while having GREAT comfort and feel. Right now i cant feel my bike because there too big so i need recommendations. All I've mostly looked at are Gaerne sg10, sg12 and Alpinestars tech 8, tech 10.Looking for the best motocross boot?
The Alpinestar tech 10's are very comfortable and a lot more flexible than some other boots. They have the inner bootie and if worn can be resoled for a fraction of he cost of new boots. If your tech 8's are still in any way wearable and not completely worn out put them on ebay as you will be amazed at how many people are willing to buy a used boot even one that has a fair bit of wear. Then you can put the money towards the new pair
I haven't used anything but Alpinestars for almost a decade. They are the best in my opinion although I am curious about the new Nike boots.Looking for the best motocross boot?

JC Whitney are rip offs, when they don't have the item in stock they refuse to refund the money you spent on shipping and handling charge.
J%26amp;P Cycles are too expensive
My personal favorites are "Oneida Suzuki", "Dennis Kirk",, "Twisted Throttle:, and the best for the lowest price is "Motorcycle Superstore"

Whats the best brand for a motorcycle jacket?
-alpinestars
-iconWhats the best brand for a motorcycle jacket?
alpinestars and dainese are the premier brands. you get what you pay for...Whats the best brand for a motorcycle jacket?
Better to look at one with full armour that fits best, try it on with your helmet and gloves, check you have full mobility without it being too loose. Possibly with a sweater on too, I have a Frank Thomas that has two alternative zips which is ideal because it allows you to wear thicker layers in the winter and look for ventilation for summer.Whats the best brand for a motorcycle jacket?
-alpinestars with gp protectors ,spidi with air bag
I used a SPIDI with a removable rain jacket lining 27,000 kilometers from Istanbul, Turkey to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2003. The jacket survived 3 falls in the Gobi desert of China, one minor accident with a car in Pakistan, run over by a herd of sheep in Iran ( without me in it ) and more than 15 falls in the monsoon mud of Laos.
I am still wearing this jacket.

Who is Carl Edwards athletic sponsor?
Hey everyone!
So I was at the Daytona500 on Sunday afternoon and it's bugging me now, who is Carl Edwards athletic sponsor?
I mean, Kasey Kahne is Puma, Jimmie Johnson is Alpinestars....
Because, I took a picture of Carl 3 feet away and tried zooming into his shoes to see, and I couldn't find the sponsor on his new Aflac jacket which I bought.
If someone could tell me, that would be awesome!
Thanks ahead of time!! (:Who is Carl Edwards athletic sponsor?

Motorcycle Gear in America and UK?
I am currently considering shopping for motorcycle gear. I travel quite a bit between the states and uk so i was thinking if it is cheaper to buy safety gear in the states or uk. I quite like the agv helmets and alpinestars clothing and sidi shoes so any help will be appreciated.Motorcycle Gear in America and UK?
jackets4bikes.com the best prices for gear anywhere.Motorcycle Gear in America and UK?
Check out New Enough at the link below.
Good people to deal with.Motorcycle Gear in America and UK?
Most gear get wherever you get the best price. But if you are going to be riding a bike on both continents make sure you get a helmet with certification for both.
It will probably be cheapest to buy via the internet 鈥撀燼fter you have made certain that the items fit in a dealership, especially helmets.
The exchange rate is going to affect the cost too.

Which motorcycle glove should I get?
I'm thinking either the alpinestars alloy or the Icon sub dermal. I can get either for around $50
The alpinestars offer more protection, but the Icons have a really nice look.Which motorcycle glove should I get?
Icon Twenty Niners will do the job. The important thing is full fingers and padded palms, Anyone who actually rides knows your hands need protection year round.Which motorcycle glove should I get?
just by asking this question tells me you bought probably a pinkish purple crotch rocket. dude its summertime, why would you need gloves?
EDIT lol at the dude with makeup. ive been riding for 30 years. i wear gloves in the rain and in the winter time. that is it. but then ive also noticed this new breed of riders who wear leather chaps and jackets in the summer also. trying to have the "biker" look. they are the same douchebags who will go to a store and leave the helmet on the whole time so everyone can see they are on a motorcycle.Which motorcycle glove should I get?
If you ride instead of profile, pick the glove for comfort and protection.
Fit gets real important about the third hour on the road.

Does anyone know where you can get surf, skate or snow banners?
I mean, like brand names like alpinestars, eastpak, vans etc.? The fabric ones you see in shops? thanks very muchDoes anyone know where you can get surf, skate or snow banners?
Talk to the shop owner or manager; they can order them for you. Chain stores, like Zumiez, Dick's and the like have central purchasing, so they are not able to get these items in.

Please Help!!! Where can i get the racing shoes that Danica Patrick wears?
I'm looking for the same shoes she wears during the races, which i believe are alpinestars. Where can i buy them? Send me a link or something that would be great. If not where can i get similar shoes to what the Indy car race car drivers wear. I think they look really cool and i want to wear even though i dont race cars. Thanks in advance. Please Help!!! Where can i get the racing shoes that Danica Patrick wears?
As can be seen in the Flickr photo I linked, which was taken at Edmonton two weekends ago, Danica does indeed wear AlpineStars driving shoes. Since the IRL requires fireproof (Nomex) protection in all driver shoes, she is most likely wearing either their 1-T or 1-Z model. Basically, they have a different type of leather used in the two different models, but the shoes are otherwise the same. Unfortunately, you can't tell the difference in the model number just by looking at them in a picture.
AlpineStars shoes can be bought directly from the company, as can all of their products. The 1-T model is $239.95 plus shipping and the 1-Z model is $289.95 plus shipping. There are several other places on the Internet where AlpineStars racing gear can be bought. However, there's no guarantee that they will be any cheaper, especially when factoring in the s%26amp;h. If you choose to buy elsewhere, you can search for "AlpineStars 1-T" or "AlpineStars 1-Z" and make your choice then.
BTW, all of this info assumes that Danica isn't wearing some experimental or custom version shoes that are not made available to the public. It is common for racing safety companies to try out new products designs, formulas, builds, etc by allowing their contracted drivers to use them first or exclusively. Please Help!!! Where can i get the racing shoes that Danica Patrick wears?
Just because AlpineStars gave Danica a custom thread color doesn't mean the complete shoe is a custom build. FWIW, if you buy the black 1-Z and color its white threads with a bright green marker, you probably have the same thing she is wearing right now.
try IRL .COM .you should know that friend...they have most likely a catalog.also danica Patrick .com ....why her shoes?god i don,t like her.

What are good motorcycle boots?
Are Alpinestars SMX-4 boots good boots? They come in a 6.5 in men and I'm a 8 in womens. I couldn't really find any others boots in a size 6 or 6.5. I wanted to stay away form the womens boots because they are ugly. What are good motorcycle boots?

Alpinestars is the best, Sidi, Thor and a few others make decent boots. but I would just say put your money into some alpinestars. I have the tech 3. Next pair will probably be tech 10. Those are MX boots, but A* also makes top of the line street boots also.
alpine star tech tens are great boots so are the new gaerne boots they have a pivot around the ankle wich makes them easier to walk

Where can I buy knee high mens italian police boots? Im looking for a more sport/touring motorcycle boot.?
I'm seeking new or used sport/touring bike riding boots. Not necessarily like American motorcop boots, but a protective sidi or alpinestars boot, but knee height.Where can I buy knee high mens italian police boots? Im looking for a more sport/touring motorcycle boot.?
O.K. I ride a bike, and for many years all weather excluding fog. One of the best boots ive ever found are German fire department boots (Feuerwehr steifel) They are not however knee length they are a little longer than engineers boots so calf long. I ride now with a 6 year old pair they are still waterproof. I treated them once when new with mink oil, ive never had wetness problems since.
Good luck in your search for knee high boots though. For me, my opinion struggling in and out of such things would strongly discourage me from wearing them other than in extreme weather conditions that warranted them. Note also steel toecaps on a bike make your toes extremely cold (when relative conditions cold enough) So it may be a good point to exclude any boots you find with steel caps from your search German fire boots have toecaps but they are temperature resistant ie the caps are high melt plastic You should be able to find them easily enough by typing feuerwehr steifel into E bay Germany then you can translate the side to English using e bay settings
Since you mentioned Sidi or Alpinestar boots you have a idea of what you are looking for. I picked up some Sidi boots last Spring...one of the selling points was in the costumer reviews, "I wear them every time I get my motorbike out" I now do the same. My thought was if I spend that much on the boot why not go all out and spend $28 more for the ceramic guards. I've only slightly hit a toe once in recovering the bike from an error but shure was glad the ceramic tips where between me and the pavement . Dressed for the worst! One thing that took me by surprise is how much more the shifter pad gave my foot so much more feedback over anything else I've ever worn. I have worn them threw sheets of freezing rain down a mountain in fading evening light (got caught) I was so dripping wet I never noticed my wet feet!

What is the best motocross boot?
I was thinking about the 09 thor quadrant boots or 2008 GAERNE GX-1 BOOTS or gaerne fastback boots. Has anybody used them? I like ALPINESTARS but cant find them that cheap, do you know anywhere where i can pick them up cheap? What is the best motocross boot?
Go along to a motorbike dealership and try some of the boots on and see what you find comfortable. My sons wear the Alpine star tech 10's and they are a very comfortable boot but you are right in that they are expensive. The good thing about them is that you can get the soles replaced if you wear them down and we have just had a pair done and the cost was $90 which is a lot better than a new pair of boots. The tech 8's are slightly cheaper so you could look at them. But go try some on and see what you find comfortable.
Yeah i know what you mean by you cant find them cheap...i personally like the Alpinestar tech 8's...its what i got and i got them for a good price but really if you want to get them cheap look for second hand ones of ebay or somthing like that...i got mine second hand and they do the job and do it well.....
IF you get brand new ones and scratch it you'll be un happy....we'll put it that way but if you buy second hand ones that are semi scratched and worn in you wont be as annoyed...but anyway that my theory
also what do you reckon about them scott boots...their not bad
Good LuckWhat is the best motocross boot?
GX-1s are awesome boots I had them before my ALPINESTARS tech 10s. The Alpinestars Tech 10s are coming out with a newer style soon so you should find some older-style tech 10s for cheaper once the new ones come out.
ALPINESTARS
I wear tech 10s; comfy, maneuverable and stylish. the most wanted boot on the market by far.
GAERNE
Get the SG-10 if your looking for a higher performance boot the SG-10 or 12. the GX-1 is a good boot dont get me wrong but the SG-12 is the top of the line right up there with the Alpinestars tech 10.

Anyone any problems with fitting of Alpinestar boots?
Got a brand new pair of the gorgeous smx-5 boots and when i got home and tried them on with my leathers they wouldn't zip up, The boot is a size 7 and i'm a size 6 but the fittings were very small and i've slim legs and i'm a girl so how do fellas get them to fit. Was just wondering has anybody else any problems with Alpinestars boot fittings?Anyone any problems with fitting of Alpinestar boots?
They can be hard to zip up at first but bedding in normally fixes that plus you'll get use to putting them on. Try holding the zip together higher up the zips are pretty strong. If you're toes aren't cramped and foot feels flat and comfy (but not loose) they are the right size. The best way is to test every boot you can in the shop, different boots feel different. The one thing to remember is to zip them up after you take them off and let them dry at room temperature. This keeps the shape of the boot.
I just compare European to American sizes and buy what I need based on them. I own some SVX boots myself. I just tried them on in the store with racing socks on.
I think you should have tried them on in the store to ensure a good fit. Different brands feel differently on the feet. I personally haven't had the issue, but I try on all footwear in the store.Anyone any problems with fitting of Alpinestar boots?
I learned a long time ago, when looking for something to wear, trying on in the store is the only way to go. For shoes and boots, I bring in the socks I will wear. Thin socks for athletic shoes, thick socks for boots.
As you discovered, the best way to go shopping of cycle boots would be to take you leathers with you.
I have a problem with gloves. I try on XXL and if available XXXL. And said gloves don't fit. My hands are not that big. I know guys with bigger hands than mine. To me, sizing charts are not to be believed.
If possible take them back and try on something else.
yeah at first, but i race quads and you have to race about 3 or 4 times in them and then you should be fine. they will break in like a shoe, stiff at first and hard to get into but once broke in there fine.Anyone any problems with fitting of Alpinestar boots?
I bought a pair about 6 weeks ago, I had no problems fitting them, I got a size 8.

Whats a good leather cleaner and conditioner for my jacket?
i have a alpinestars blk and red leather jacket what should i use to clean it and how often..Whats a good leather cleaner and conditioner for my jacket?
First, I would suggest asking a professional dry cleaner that specializes in leather clothing.
Also do not use something meant for a household cleaner that could damage the texture and pigment.
I did a search for you and came up with the link below, it had good advice on there too.
Good Luck :)
Saddle soap.Whats a good leather cleaner and conditioner for my jacket?
zymol leather conditioner- it smells good too. works like lotion. get it at any auto parts store. keeps it from cracking at the joints. i use it on my icon jacket maybe once a month. twice a month in the summer.
I use leather cleaner and conditioner from the auto parts store. I'm sure it is suppose to be for leather seats, but I have been using it for 5 years on my chaps and jacket with great results. If you are worried about anything you use, you should try it on a small unseen part of the jacket to make sure it doesnt damage it.Whats a good leather cleaner and conditioner for my jacket?
Kiwi leather cleaner and conditioner available at most retail stores.
You will think this is funny but try WD40 on it. It will clean and make it waterproff. I use it all the time on my leather jacket and pants.
Lyn S is correct.

Importing Alpinestars from the USA, should I get them now or should I wait for Thanksgiving / Christmas ?
I was wondering if it would be wise for me to wait for a couple of months and avail Thanksgiving / Christmas discounts on some Alpinestars gear. When exactly do stores in the USA start offering discounts ? Are there any discounts on Alpinestars ? All guidance would be appreciated.
P.S. Alpinestars manufacture auto and moto riding gear, in case you were wondering.Importing Alpinestars from the USA, should I get them now or should I wait for Thanksgiving / Christmas ?

Can i use my street riding gear for dirt biking?
ok i get that i couldn't use the jacket and kevlar jeans but could i use my boots and helmet instead of buying ones for dirt biking? my boots are Alpinestars - S-MX R Vented Boots, and my helmet is a Bell - Star Helmet. Can i use my street riding gear for dirt biking?
I wouldn't. Ya will look like a goon if you are going to a track. Plus you gotta realize the gear is made totally different for both sports...I dunno man...I would definetly pick up some mx gear or you will look silly...not to mention burn up, plus the boots, helmet, etc are all set up for different things.
I'll put it this way...would you wear mx stuff on a street bike....nope. ;)
You could use it but it is definitely not recommended. Street gear is more for stopping damage from asphalt and scrapes and can be ruin by dirt. Can i use my street riding gear for dirt biking?
you can...i wouldnt recommend it.
they are two different things for a reason.
you should get ridding pants though.
Yes, you can use them if you want to.Can i use my street riding gear for dirt biking?
It kinda depends if you're gonna try out some "stuff" on the dirtbike, if you are, you probably want to get dirtbike gear..
But if you're just gonna ride then you can probably do it. I'd get a deflector and a helmet designed for dirt though.

Which brand motorcycle jacket has brass fasteners with an "A" on them?
I saw a jacket I want to buy, black leather with 2 brass fasteners to close the neck. A brass button had a logo that looked like an "A". So I am trying to figure out what brand it was. I am looking for a high quality brand that starts with an A, it wasn't Alpinestars. Harley type jacket that looked more racing inspired than traditional biker looks.Which brand motorcycle jacket has brass fasteners with an "A" on them?

It sounds like your looking for a Bomber type jacket
The Type A-2 leather flight jacket is a military flight jacket closely associated with World War II U.S. Army pilots, who often decorated their jackets with squadron patches and elaborate artwork painted on the back. Sometimes casually referred to as a "bomber" jacket, its original designation was "Jacket, Pilot's (summer)," and its wartime usage was limited neither to pilots nor to bomber crews.

What motocross boots should i get?
Ok i have a $300 budget and i need to get boots and pants, I ride track and trail so the boots need to have decent protection and be very comfortable. I was looking at alpinestars tech-3's?What motocross boots should i get?
Tech 3's are alright. But heres the tech 8 for 250 in cyclegear. Ive had them for a couple of months now and they are great boots. If anything breaks on them all you have to do is replace that part and you dont have to buy new bootsWhat motocross boots should i get?
Nothiing wrong with Alpiinestar boots although if you can try them on to make sure you are buying the right size. Have not purchased the tech 3's but I know my son really likes the tech 10's and has a number of pairs. Usually you can get them resoled or at least I know you can get the tech 10's redone as long as you don't let them wear the whole way through so that can be a saving as having a pair of boots resoled is much cheaper than having to buy again so ask where you purchase if they offer this service. What motocross boots should i get?
I bought the Tech 3's for my nephew since his foot is still growing pretty fast. They have held up great and seem to be very good boots. I use the 10's myself and I am a huge fan of Alpinestar boots.

Any ideas for amazing motocross company names?
So, I've been trying to think of names for a motocross company...names that will really hold your attention when you hear them....
Some motocross companies out there are: Fox Racing, Alpinestars, Monster Energy, Thor, etc..
It has to sound really neat and be a real attention grabber...a name for a motocross (dirtbike) T-shirt design company, or any company within the motocross field...for gear, products, services...anthing.
Any ideas? No idea is a bad idea and I could really use some help brainstorming. Thanks!Any ideas for amazing motocross company names?

My new motocross boots are too big. Should I get the next smaller size?
What's better for MX boots, a bit big, or a bit tight. Unfortunately AlpineStars doesn't make 1/2 sizes. My new motocross boots are too big. Should I get the next smaller size?
If the next size smaller is too small, the you're stuck with what you've got. Maybe wearing a heavier pair of socks would help.My new motocross boots are too big. Should I get the next smaller size?
I'd stick with what you have. I just recently bought new boots to, and mine are 10's, they're just right, but I'd like an 11, but for riding you DO NOT want a loose boot, espiecally if your jumping like I do.

Alpinestars Boots tech 10's?
k so ive been riding for 5 years but never tried the tech 10's out yet, and i was just wondering what size should i get if im a size 12 and i dont wanna use the inner booty?Alpinestars Boots tech 10's?
If you don't want a boot with an inner booty then you had better choose something other than the tech 10 as they are made to be used with the booty. The sizing is the same usually as your shoe size and once you have used the tech 10's you won't want to ride with anything else. They give the rider a lot more flexibility then most other boots. The only down side to them would be that they do perhaps wear out a little quickerAlpinestars Boots tech 10's?

Whats a good leather cleaner and conditioner for my jacket?
i have a alpinestars blk and red leather jacket what should i use to clean it and how often..Whats a good leather cleaner and conditioner for my jacket?
I usually wipe the leather down with a damp cloth and then treat it with mink oil. I've had mine for 14 years and it still looks new. I only treat it once a year.Whats a good leather cleaner and conditioner for my jacket?
Lenox makes a very good cleaner and conditioner...works great and really helps to keep leather soft.Whats a good leather cleaner and conditioner for my jacket?
The cleaning method would depend on whether it is suede or smooth leather. Which is it?
Clean it with saddle soap, Then use mink oil as in the previous answer. It will stay like new for years. This also works wonders for leather car interiors

DAINESE vs ALPINESTARS?
Which brand has better leather jackets?DAINESE vs ALPINESTARS?
Just like how everyone said there is no real definate answer. it really is down to personal preference and how much money you are willing to spend. At the end of the day they are botch going to do pretty much the same thing so just buy the one you can afford and whatever looks good and your happy with it
Give the poor guy a break..He has a problem deciding between the two and hence posted this.He already feels both are equally good and hence the question.Having used both Astars and Dainese for long, would admit both are good overall. However, just feel the Dainese quality and fit is 2 notches higher.
I don't think there is a better of the two -
As said by Mr Proc - it's really down to personal
choice - I'd be inclined to try on a few of each
and base my choice on the one most liked that
also suits your budget -
Dainese is definitely better but Alpinestars still has good quality products. Dainese is a little bit more expensive though.DAINESE vs ALPINESTARS?
Down to personal preference
i'll go with alpinestars...
DAINESE all the way ive worn both and Dainese always fits bettersdriving school vegan diet

Give the poor guy a break..He has a problem deciding between the two and hence posted this.He already feels both are equally good and hence the question.Having used both Astars and Dainese for long, would admit both are good overall. However, just feel the Dainese quality and fit is 2 notches higher.

DAINESE vs ALPINESTARS?I don't think there is a better of the two -
As said by Mr Proc - it's really down to personal
choice - I'd be inclined to try on a few of each
and base my choice on the one most liked that
also suits your budget -
Dainese is definitely better but Alpinestars still has good quality products. Dainese is a little bit more expensive though.DAINESE vs ALPINESTARS?

i'll go with alpinestars...
DAINESE all the way ive worn both and Dainese always fits betters

Alpinestars pants and Knee sliders problem!!! HELp?
ok, so i bought these astars track pants but the sliders seem to be a little low... is that normal... will they actually scrape when i lean the bike??.....which sliders do i need for sparks??Alpinestars pants and Knee sliders problem!!! HELp?
They should be slightly below your knee and on the outside of your leg. They are really more like outer upper calf sliders instead of knee sliders.
Just look for ones with titanium inserts. They are the ones that spark.Alpinestars pants and Knee sliders problem!!! HELp?
Make sure you know what you are doing before you worry about making sparks. If you have never had a puck on the pavement, the street can be a tough place to learn how to counterbalance properly.
If you can, take a lesson at your local track so you can keep the rubber side down. Then go out and carve some canyons, you will never regret spending $100 to make yourself a safer, smoother and ultimately much faster rider.

Do alpinestars shirts run big?
im 6' 150 lbs and caught between M and LDo alpinestars shirts run big?
From my experience in Womans clothing through apline stars they run small. I am usually a small in shirts but I ordered a small and it was WAY TOO SMALL FOR me. Go for the Large. If its too big you can always shrink it.

FOX F3 OR ALPINESTARS TECH 7?
im not a hardcore racer i just go to some fun races and i would like a durable comfortable boot. I am size US 13 and do not want to spend to much but don't want to get a cheap nasty boot either. I have been looking at fox f3s 2008-2010 and alpinestar tech 7s 2008-2010 the tech 7s are more money but is it worth it? any other suggestion's for boots that are not too pricey would be great thank youFOX F3 OR ALPINESTARS TECH 7?
Definitely Alpinestars, best boots made for the money. I love FOX gear but hate FOX boots. The tend to be uncomfortable, to me, and don't hold up nearly as well as the Tech 7's.

Should I spend more $$ on my gear and leathers and get Dainese or Alpinestars? Or are the 'lesser' brands ok?
Ok, first off let me say that I believe in having good motorcycle equipment, and I am not the type to ride around on a bike in just a T-Shirt, or crap gear. But I am also trying to be..ummm..."thrifty" in what I spend for my gear. I have found that, for whatever reason, motorcyclists seem to dump their gear--like they sold their bike and the jacket doesn't match the color on the new bike, they had a baby, bought a house, girlfriend/wife told them to stop riding, etc.--so I bought my gear second hand. But I still tried to get good quality gear. So I have a Joe Rocket "Blaster" leather armored jacket that I got for $65, a Joe Rocket Ballistic Mesh armored jacket for $40, AGV Kevlar armored gloves for $20, a pair of leather chaps for $17 off of Ebay and an Arai Signet helmet (which original sold for over $300) that I got for $10 off of craigslist. Keep in mind that all my gear is in good/excellent shape, not falling apart, and I would trust to take care of me in a crash. So don't trip on what I paid for it; if it wasn't in good shape I wouldn't buy it, and alot of people will get rid of good gear in good shape for cheap just because they don't need it.
Anyways my friend is getting into motorcycling, just got a cushy job, and asked me to go look for some gear with him. So we go looking, and we go to a fairly high end store. Now he's looking at either a $500 Alpinestar RC1 jacket or some Dainese (model I don't know) but it was $600. And he's gonna get one of these $500 Shoei helmets, and already bought a pair of $100 kevlar gloves and is thinking about the leather pants and all.
Well, this made me feel a little "insecure" on my gear, and whether I should be shelling out the dough like he is. My question is, is there added "safety" for the price when you buy an Alpinestars or Dainese jacket as opposed to when you buy a lessor priced Joe Rocket or Icon jacket? And same with the helmets? Is that Shoei gonna protect my head better than that Snell and Dot rated HJC? I am just wondering if I am being too cheap, and should really shell out for the 'top shelf' stuff, or whether the lesser brands provide adequate protection.
One more thing, I also am wondering if the leather chaps will provide enough protection in a crash or whether I should go for full on leather pants?
Opinions? Thanks.Should I spend more $$ on my gear and leathers and get Dainese or Alpinestars? Or are the 'lesser' brands ok?
What's wrong with boots, jeans, T-shirt and a leather jacket in the saddle bag? Worked for me for over 50 yrs.Should I spend more $$ on my gear and leathers and get Dainese or Alpinestars? Or are the 'lesser' brands ok?
You sir, are exactly what draws flack to the crotch rocket crowd mocking the "outfits" you guys wear, with your matching little unitard things, and matching helmets.
Gawd, you get leather, you put it on, you go ride. Brand names, color matching, what else... you gonna get a matching tank bag to carry tampons too?
You worry about too many petty things, i can't knock armor, but if you want armor, get it ce approved, a dot or snell helmet and go ride.

What 1-piece suit is best for Sport Bike Racing?
I am just starting out and dont want to spend a whole lot of money on a suit but i also dont want to waste my money buying crap either. I looked at alpinestars a little bit but idk. Any suggestions? What 1-piece suit is best for Sport Bike Racing?
Halo Leathers are good. Made to measure but can be pricey depending on what you want. I think the T3 Racing Halo Leathers are good as they weren't damaged when my mate had a big crash on the way up to druids at Brands, and I reckon they are rather good looking leathers... I think all Halo leathers are. A lot of STK600 riders in the British Championship wear them... and those boys do beat each other up!
Alpinestars have survived a lot of crashes from my mates at racing so they are pretty good.
Dainese are good! The leathers I have now are Dainese replacing Hein%26amp;Gericke leathers I've had for a year after crashing at Mallory and having to be cut out of them... but it took a lot for them to cut into them and I only sustained a broken wrist despite having many more suspected broken bones so they did a good job and kept me in one piece. The Dainese ones I got from a friend who could only fit into Female leathers the season before! So I now have them. He had a couple of crashes last year. Both been at Brands 1st was at Paddock Hill which did a bit of damage around the knee but it'll still pass scrutineering. Then the 2nd at Clearways but no more damage... just a little bit stained from the gravel... never get white leathers as it has evidence of your crashes!
RST Leathers are another one I would recommend. Another Superteen crash at Paddock Hill (We have a habit of crashing there) He had a pretty big off at the BSB round. His leathers had a couple of scuffs and other than that nothing that's going to stop them been used again.
I hope this has helped :)What 1-piece suit is best for Sport Bike Racing?
your going to get what you pay for. the price reflects the quality of the leather, Cowhide or kangaroo.
the quality of the stitching along with the level of protection from foam pads to kevlar inserts.
the best advice would be to buy the best you can afford. its your protection you are buying.
another thing to consider is the fact that when you think you not going to get hurt you actually go faster.
im sure you wouldn't consider racing with a cheap crash helmet or gloves. and would never consider Boots without ankle protection. Talk to the people in the shop. its their job to know whats best for your needs. Racing suits are not always the same as standard road wear.
good luck with the racing. try not to ruin the suit.used boats national tire and battery

When it comes to textile which is better?
Alpinestars or Dainese. Or any other good jackets that have held up from personal experience? When it comes to textile which is better?
Never have 'fully' tested either one (thank you) but I have owned both and while the Alpine-Stars are a bit better quality in fit and weather 'wear', the Dainese were less expensive.
Another brand to look at is Cortec Tour-Master. I have a set of those also and like their little extra attention to the extras.

Which boardshorts are better the alpinestars HD or the Oakley Blade?
I am comparing to get the better one because they both seem like really good boardshorts but I just want to know which one is the best. The HD alpinestars have an 8 way stretch but the Oakley blade has an O stretch and I thought 8 way stretch was the best but then Oakley says they have an O stretch I have no idea what O stretch is and how it's better if I could just get a debate on which one is better that'll be fantastic!!!! xDWhich boardshorts are better the alpinestars HD or the Oakley Blade?
I interpret your explanation as one short having a weave in the cloth that allows it to stretch in eight directions. (Horizontal, Vertical and both diagonals) The other doesn't stretch at all it has 0 stretch. Normally you'd only need stretch if the short was too tight. When buying board shorts you buy them baggy and really shouldn't need the stretch. The only advantage to the stretchable weave would be to prevent tearing if you snag on something. If you don't keep tearing your shorts, just go with the cheaper and save yourself a few bucks.
Good luck with your search..

ICON Field Armor Vest VS Alpinestars Bionic Vest?
Alright guys, Ive asked your opinions numerous times on different gear and parts for my bike...The closer we get to Spring/Summer I got another.....For those of you that wear either, or just people in the know....Which offers for protection both with spinal hyperextension/trauma and road rash....the ICON ( http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/Icon_Field_Armor_Vest--35-ICON05-1.html ) or the Alpinestars ( http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/Alpinestars_Bionic_SP_Vest--615411.html ) and why??ICON Field Armor Vest VS Alpinestars Bionic Vest?
To me, they both seem about the same. I have an Icon super duty jacket that has seen more than it's fair share of pavement and has held up great. Go with which one you like.

Are Alpinestars SP1 better than the cowhide Leather TPU gloves?
I originally paid for the cowhide but someone offered me the alpine instead because they were out of the cowhide and I really don't want to get ripped off. This is serious btw so please answer properly because I'm buying this for someone's present.

Also are TPU or Carbon fibre better for knuckle and finger protectors? Are Alpinestars SP1 better than the cowhide Leather TPU gloves?
Based on experience I would prefer Alpinestars over any other glove. However, if you look at the price difference it is surprising anyone would offer them as a substitute for the cheaper pair 鈥?there are plenty of brands in between.
Carbon fibre, being stronger than impact plastics, is preferable.

Alpinestars 2005 Tech 6 boots???
My 2005 (just a guess) Tech 6 Alpinestars boot needs a fixing. The sole insert on my left boot has partially come out, and now it is a flap which sometimes gets caught on my foot peg. This could cause me an accident so I need it fixed. I found some sole inserts, but I also found the whole sole.
Should I replace the whole sole or just the insert?
Since the Insert has just come out form under the sole, can I just take it to a boot repair store and get it fixed?
I also was wondering, if i buy new soles, would the boot repair person be able to fix the mets tips of the boot on the under side? Here is some pictures of the boot soles and metal tips.

You can do either, the whole sole would be more expensive, bu tif money didnt matter, then you could just buy a whole new pair of boots.

Alpinestars Leather jacket, does anyone know which model it is?
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/mcy/964614527.html
I came across this alpinestars jacket but i couldnt find it online so i thought it was just an older model, i would like to know its actually a model tho, and not some sort of fake one... also noticed under the jacket there is a little hanging of some sort of cloth, and at the top near the tags it looks like its actually sewed onto the jacket, or am i mistaking? does anyone know what that is?Alpinestars Leather jacket, does anyone know which model it is?
In my opinion, as long as the jacket is in good condition, 150 is a decent price. Alpinestars is not a designer brand so I wouldn't worry about it being a "knockoff." Assuming anyone went to the trouble of making a fake, they probably used a jacket that is still worth 150 bucks. Worry more about the condition of the thing and whether or not it's comfortable.

Alpinestars Stormrider gore tex gloves, will they sell?
I have ordered 5 pairs of Alpinestars stormrider gore tex riding gloves from a wholesaler for a total of 拢156, on the internet these gloves usually go for about 拢120 a pair, that's new. My question is...
With these gloves never having been opened, used or anything so they are brand new, mint condition, will they go for 拢100 a pair on ebay?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

NOTE! I am new to this buisness thing so I'm starting out will small shipments of products, just in case you were wondering! Also I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section.Alpinestars Stormrider gore tex gloves, will they sell?
You are getting a very good margin if selling at 拢100. Maybe include a 'best offer' function.
They will probably sell eventually but might take a while seeing as its coming in to summer! You have to think about what is likely to be in demand now.jayco infiniti g37

You have to think about what is likely to be in demand now.

Leatehr Alpinestars gloves?
Well, after a long cannyon or not ride.. your hands sweatin dose gloves. You take them off, let them sit there till the next ride.. and they are stiff because of all the sweat.
Is there any way/ anything i can spray them with/put something inside.. so they dont get stiff, and remain regular leather?Leatehr Alpinestars gloves?
Sweat contains salt and other minerals, which leather does not like. Lotion contains lanolin and other moisturizers, which leather needs.
Before you ride, put lotion on your hands. The point is NOT to go "squish" when you put them on, it is to allow the lotion to work into the leather and keep it soft.Leatehr Alpinestars gloves?
not really, try rubbing dubbin leather softener into them periodicaly. get it from a saddlery shop

Alpinestars Uptown Jacket?
I'm taking the MSF course on Friday so I've been looking around for a jacket. I came across Alpinestars' Uptown jackets and I really like the style. But turns out they're for women and I couldn't even fit my arm in the sleeves. Does anybody know of any other jackets that have this same style for men? I really don't like any of the men's jackets I've come across, they're all covered in wordings, multiple colors, or just plain ugly and more expensive.
Here's an example: http://www.alpinestars.com/Stella_Uptown鈥?/a>
I just want something that will look casual, but also protect me.Alpinestars Uptown Jacket?
What the hell is the function of the clips at the top of the shoulder?
Thats fairly metro-se.x.ual, but look at some of the other Euro designers. They have the tailor fitted waists, too. Hein Gericke, Gerbing,

Alpinestars or Dainese Motorcycle jacket?
I am going to be getting a new Jacket this season and would like to hear your opinions.
I have been going in-between Aplinestars and Dainese as far as brand goes.
I would also like you're opinion on Leather versus Textile.
What are their strengths and weaknesses?
Though, I might have to get a textile anyways because I do end up riding in the rain every now and then.
OK, here are some models I have been looking at.
Alpinestars T-Stunt Air Flow Textile $200
Alpinestars Stage Leather $300 "Yes this jacket is discontinued but you can still find them on-line"
Dainese Racing TEX $250
Theirs some other Dainese but I can't remember the Model's. Dainese updated their site to their new models.
I will probably pick-up some gloves as-well just not sure if I should get the full gantlets or not.Alpinestars or Dainese Motorcycle jacket?
I couldn't choose between the two brands - they're pretty much on a par; perhaps Alpinestars edging ahead...but that said, it doesn't matter on the brand.
Get the heaviest 'cordura' you can afford. Look for the nice things like venting zips etc and decent pockets, hopefully removable armor, a good fit on the neck. Perhaps a #10 full connecting zip.
Leather is still the best at abrasion resistance, closely followed by Kevlar-lined products but cordura jackets still aren't lined with aramids (any manufacturer reading this?). That said, textiles are still very good at abrasion resistance but there is the possibility of melting the material into your wounds if you scrape right through it - almost impossible if you wear decent armor underneath so it's a moot point if you're sensible enough.
I live in a wet country and ride daily so I don't like leather - it's impossible to keep it waterproof...
Gloves? I prefer shorter ones to the full gauntlets but I choose my jackets to ensure compatibility between the glove and jacket.

What kind of motorcycle leather gloves should I get?
What kind of motorcycle leather gloves should I get?
I had in mind, Alpinestars SP-X Red/White Leather Gloves, but I do not know if those are okay for street/freeway biking.
And NO! I am not dirt biking.
What leather gloves for a motorcycle do you recommend?
Give me a list. ThanksWhat kind of motorcycle leather gloves should I get?
The SP-X have short cuffs, that area between jacket or leathers and glove will be vulnerable in case of an accident, I would prefer the SP-2 or SP-1 (which I have an older equivalent of) with the longer cuff that fits snugly over my leather jacket and inside the sleeve of my textile jacket. They are showing their age after 5 years but the stitching is still in place and the knuckle protection is scratched but not loose or damaged 鈥?they were never waterproof though and do get a bit stinky after a sweaty day's riding.
My son found a really good deal. Instead of buying overpriced gloves from the local cycle shop he buys mechanics gloves. The ones with knuckle protection
They are cheaper - lighter - more flexible and offer better grip than motorcycle gloves. And they also come in a wide assortment of colours and palm grip styles. They also have velcro wristbands that keep the wind out.
I have tried them myself and they are a worlds apart from the $95.00 gloves that I purchased from the dealer. I believe he paid about $16.00 and got a far superior glove. What kind of motorcycle leather gloves should I get?
They are fine.
What is best is very subjective...like what kind of motorcycle should I buy ?
I like tourmaster myself.
there are many high quality synthetic material gloves that perform much better than leather, and you should be against wearing anything in leather because the evil white man killed a helpless animal to produce that leatherWhat kind of motorcycle leather gloves should I get?
