Any jackets that are cheaper yet still safe?

I've been condsidering on buying fox creek leather but it's very expensive.

I'll be on a Ninja 250R in the summer heat. Maybe a white leather?Would this be a great beginner jacket? Check out picture.?
That jacket is ugly. You may want to consider a textile jacket with back, shoulder, and elbow guards. Joe Rocket makes great jackets.

Alpine Star is excellent gear, always. However, for summer time the jacket you're looking at is not vented well, and you'll feel and look like a stylish cooked ham. Try spending less on the jacket by getting textile, and remember that the lower half of your body needs protection too. Most off-the-rack jackets come with soft padding in the shoulders, elbows, and back, minimally; some add to the sides. You should consider enhancing all that with hard plastic inserts. Your riding pants then should have exaggerated hip and knee protection, and they should zip to the jacket so the jacket does not ride up during a slide and expose your spine to whatever ugly surprises your get off has in store for you.

Just now an outfit in Texas I have used off and on for years, New Enough, is having quite a blow out sale on Joe Rocket gear, both leather and textile. Go to their site and have a quick looksee, and book marke them because they have attractive sales often.

Good luck, and ride safe.Would this be a great beginner jacket? Check out picture.?
actually no, WHat you need is a full armored including spine and neck, shoulders, elbow's text tile jacket. Leather will protect your skin better but on a sports bike, its more times crashing then sliding. You have to protect your self from breaking back or neck. Shoulder, elbows etc are for minor breaks and road sliding.

I have 3 friends and 1 employee who are all crippled because they didn't wear right stuff, I have another employee who does wear the right stuff and has had some broken wrist, broken arms but nothing serious because he wears the right stuff. If you want to be cheap, step out back and ask some-one to hit you as hard as they can with a baseball bat. Think im kidding ? it wont be anything compared to flipin or crashing off you bike.
It is not only a great beginner jacket it is a great jacket period...Anytime you buy an Alpinestars clothing you will be getting top quality and you will be satisfied with it....No need to wonder whether or not it will be good...It is a high value product...Enjoy itWould this be a great beginner jacket? Good stuff, not my style though. HiPoint (Alpinestars) has a well-deserved reputation for quality and durability.
