Do i need an SWR meter to calibrate my CB radio if it has one built in?

i have an older model Cobra 29ltd classic. It has an SWR meter on it. I read Cb radios must be tuned with an SWR meter. Is this the same thing that is on my radio? Do i need to buy something else to calibrate it?Do i need an SWR meter to calibrate my CB radio if it has one built in?
yes the swr meter in the radio is the same thing as any other modest swr meter

no you do not need to buy anything else

just set the meter to Cal - key the mike and quickly adj the needle to the little dot past cal, let off the key - set the switch back to swr, key the mic and read the meter, if it's below 2, the swr is okDo i need an SWR meter to calibrate my CB radio if it has one built in?
Assuming that the radios in good working order. It should work fine. Yes, it鈥檚 the same thing. You鈥檙e tuning the carrier wave to the antenna. Make sure your antenna base is grounded properly.
