How good is the acura rsx type s, engine wise how long will it last me?

is the acura rsx type s good. is it also good the motor how long would the motor last in miles. and if you add parts to the car to make it faster will it mess up the engineHow good is the acura rsx type s, engine wise how long will it last me?
It's a decent car. Unlike most of Honda's previous cars, the RSX uses a timing chain, which doesn't need replaced every 60k miles like a timing belt, so in that regard, you save $800-1000 every 4-5 years (less with more driving) right there. Otherwise, their reliability is good...Not great, because it's still a high strung 4 cylinder, but good. You could probably get 200-250k miles out of one, but it might take a little work, as with any car. Likewise, as with any car, you can modify it a good deal, but you do sacrifice some reliability whenever you increase output. Minor things like intake, exhaust and a tune won't hurt (it could actually help), but much beyond that and you start to degrade the drive-ability, fuel economy and reliability. How good is the acura rsx type s, engine wise how long will it last me?
depends on how YOU drive it..I have a 2002 (bought in 2001) RSX-S....I don't bang the hell out of the engine and it runs very well. since they haven't made any since 2005 (for 2006) whatever you do to it, is your business...they're out of warranty and it doesn't matter.
