What is the third prong on a CB radio power wire plug?

The outside two are positive and ground, and the middle one is placed closer to the ground so I'm assuming it's another ground? A chassis ground?



Most CB radios just have two wires coming out with an in line fuse but a few have the three prong plug.What is the third prong on a CB radio power wire plug?
