I have a cb radio with the PA function i just need to know what type of input to use for the radio to the speaker. Will a powerhorn work for the PA systemI need to know how to make a PA system work on my cb radio?
Radio Shack sells an 8-ohm all-weather speaker that you can mount under the hood or in the grill. Just run the two wires connected to the speaker through the firewall and in to where the CB is mounted, and plug it in to the receptacle marked PA. You may have to purchase the male connector for the end of the wires, you can check when you buy the speaker. The other receptacle is usually for internal speaker. Be careful running the wires so they don't interfere with anything in the engine compartment, and don't get in trouble with local law enforcement. Have fun, good luck with it.
