Is a 2002 Acura RSX Type S a good first car for a 17 year old?

So i mainly like the Acura RSX type S but is it a good car oveerall?

First if anyone is going to say anything about insurance i am goin to be a liability under my mom or dads name (ALLSTATE)

I think MPG will be a good ratio with the premium gas, light car, 6 speed manual, and decent driving.

but do you think it is a good car to start as a first car?Is a 2002 Acura RSX Type S a good first car for a 17 year old?
People like you driving them is why their insurance rates are sky high. Get a corolla to start with-something without too much power. The RSX -S is bulletproof IF you know how to shift which most young people dont so most of these cars have transmission issues. This is NOT a good first car, but it is a great car for advanced drivers. Mine has 147,000 miles and I just replaced the rear brake pads for the first time and I get 37MPG, but most people get about 28MPG with these cars.Is a 2002 Acura RSX Type S a good first car for a 17 year old?
Yes it's a good car.

Unless you are paying cash for the car, you will need full coverage insurance. Even then, insurance will be astronomical for a first time driver.

Mileage will depend on how you drive.

No, it's not a good first time drivers car.Is a 2002 Acura RSX Type S a good first car for a 17 year old?
NO

The only good first cars are older Buicks, Crown Victorias, etc. Your poor parents would pay an arm and a leg for insurance. And you'll just get in trouble with it.

Stay away from any car that takes premium gas. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
no if you want an rsx go for the regular one. because type s goes faster which = higher insurance rates
