For Engine and Drivetrain: You will need the K20A engine and corresponding transmission Y2M3 which comes with an LSD. You will also need the PRC intake manifold, ITR ECU, header and exhaust.
Footworks: You will need ITR stock springs and shocks as well as front and rear sway bar. Of course it goes without saying that you'll need Brembos and the ITR rims. Do keep in mind that you will most likely need ITR axles.
Interior: Pedals, steering wheel, center panel, gauge cluster (important and in fact should come with the K20A above), shift knob, recaro seats, floor and door trimmings, coin holder, Integra Type R door sill trims.
Exterior: Front, rear and side lip kit, JDM tail lights, side markers, JDM blackedout headlights with HIDs (if you have an 05+ RSX then you won't need the headlights just HIDs), brake ducts.
For RHD conversion. You will need to do almost twice as much work to relocate the steering column and get corresponding driveshaft and dashboard. The minor bits include wiper relocation which should require new windshield frame.
Note: The ITR doesn't come with the type S bose system but rather the base RSX sound system so most people get their own head units and/or speaker/woofer. If you really want to go hardcore then you need to cover up the sunroof unless you have the 02 Canadian base which didn't have a sunroof and do a rear wiper delete which can be avoided if you swap out your hatch. Once you are all set, don't forget the Honda, Integra and Type R badges.
Technically it cant be done the frame is stiffer on a type-r. For a full list check clubrsx.com there are people on there that have done it. Off the top of my head, engine, exhaust, headlights, rims carpet, rhd conversion, seats, rear seats, steering wheel, lip kit, spoiler, rear swaybar, suspension, brakes, floorbar.
You would have to buy a front clip from a totalled type-r from an importer.
You are better off just modifying your type s to your taste and including some jdm parts as opposed to going for a perfect replica, you can make the car faster than a type-r for less money.Converting an acura rsx into a honda integra type r?
Chrys don't be a nut, you're absolutely wrong here. the ITR he's talking about is the newer ones that are badged ITR in japan however didnt export them to the US. the US only got acura rsx-s in essence they're kind of the same, however the itr in japan has the bigger better deal. he's not trying to convert his rsx to the 98-01 type r's if thats what you're mistaking him. other than that don't be too quick to judge or insult and know your roll. jerk
Just import it straight from Japan, it would be cheaper. There is a few that have been sold, (legit) 2002 ITR Championship White DC5-R for 25,000 in California.
However, if you are looking to just convert it, you will need the main component, an ITR front clip which has the engine and right hand drive.
Good luck with your project.Converting an acura rsx into a honda integra type r?
The Type R Engine, Rims, Spoiler, Headlights, The Red honda Emblems, Seats, The front/side/rear lip.
