I am interested in modifiying my stereo system in my 04 RSX by adding a subwoofer and amp. I already have an aftermarket deck, but want more bass. Before I do, I want to make sure it will not cause me any electrical problems. The last thing I want is a great stereo system, but a car that has problems starting or doesn't run!Would adding aftermarket audio products cause electrical problems in a 2004 Acura RSX?
Well with after market items nothing is guaunteed and especialy when messing with the electrical system. Just be careful, get a prfessional to do it and there shouldnt be a problem.Would adding aftermarket audio products cause electrical problems in a 2004 Acura RSX?
if installed correctly it will not cause any electrical problems.Would adding aftermarket audio products cause electrical problems in a 2004 Acura RSX?
Well not if you don't exceed your alternators limits.
The alternator runs the electronics in a vehicle. They are rated by AMPS for power.
For example, my car has a stock 65amp alternator, so I can safely add about 400-500RMS of an audio system TOTAL without killing my alternator and having some power left to run my lights etc.
Find out what that car's STOCK alternator is, and talk to a local shop about how much they say you should be able to handle.
If anyone says, just add a CAPACITOR, take my strongly advised advise, and don't. The cap won't save your alternator, only destroy it more if its ALREADY going to be weakened.
no problems should happen if its installed correctly
